Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds – Alive on Stage returns to UK arenas next year to celebrate its 40th ANNIVERSARY, with two performances at Motorpoint Arena Cardiff on Sunday 9 and Monday 10 December 2018.
Conducted by Jeff Wayne, with the 9-piece Black Smoke Band and 36-piece ULLAdubULLA Strings, the most ambitious production yet will ‘break through the fourth wall’ bringing action closer to the audience for a most captivating and immersive, musical experience, including the iconic 3-tonne 35-foot tall Martian Fighting Machine firing real flames. Star of stage and screen Jason Donovan returns to the role of Parson Nathaniel alongside West End actress Carrie Hope Fletcher as Beth, his wife. Actor and theatre star Adam Garcia will debut as The Artilleryman, British singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner will perform The Sung Thoughts of The Journalist, Inglorious front man Nathan James will play The Voice of Humanity, with Anna-Marie Wayne reprising her role as Carrie, The Journalist’s Fiancée.

All bags will be searched. Bags larger than an A4 size piece of paper will not be permitted into the Arena. Please note if your bag is deemed too big it will be put in our cloakroom at a charge, so please only bring the essentials with you. Our cloakroom will be open for bags and coats at £2 an item. Please do not bring shopping bags to the show, arrange to leave them somewhere safe elsewhere. Please note that rucksacks of any kind will not be permitted into the building.
Our staff are well trained and observant and they are doing their jobs to the best of their ability. Please show them the respect they deserve in these testing times.

Please remember to keep your belongings safe, especially your mobile phone. We've had recent reports of pickpockets targeting live events in Cardiff, so please take care with your belongings.
